Michelle Newell Photography now offers Exclusively Newborn Mentorships in her studio in Monroe, Washington {approximately 40 minutes from Seattle, WA}. During your Mentorship with Michelle, you will learn everything from the basics of proper lighting {using a soft box and natural light}, composition, newborn soothing, to safely posing newborns as well as build your portfolio. Michelle will also cover basic Photoshop editing to enhance your post processing. This is also a great opportunity to ask Michelle anything, from posing to business processes.
What You Will Need:
- You must own a DSLR and understand your camera. We will be shooting in Manual mode, and it will be assumed that you have a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings.
- A basic 50mm Lens is suggested as this is the lens that Michelle uses primarily throughout her newborn sessions along with her 100mm Macro lens {this is optional, but please bring it if you own this lens}
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop {please note: this is not an introduction to Photoshop. Michelle primarily uses Photoshop CS5 for editing and will be covering basic techniques for enhancing your images.}
What this is Not: This is not an introductory class to photography. This is an intermediate to advanced photography mentorship for those who are actively pursuing a career in newborn portraiture.
Tuition: $895*/per person {+tax} – One Day Class
Attendees: Limited 1-3 photographers {bring a friend!}
Registration: $375 USD is due at booking and is non-refundable. Remaining balance is due 1-week prior to class. If you need to cancel for any reason once you have paid-in-full, your balance will be reimbursed to you.
Date: Mentorships are scheduled on a Saturday of which the specific date will be determined by Michelle & attendee{s}
